Fast, Efficient and Convenient Treatments

Gentle hair removal is comfortable and fast with proven and long-lasting results. There is no need to apply gel prior to performing the laser treatment on the area which makes it less messy to complete the procedure. The treatment takes only a short time for small areas such as the upper lip or underarms, and just minutes for larger areas like the back and legs.

Permanent hair reduction anywhere on the body

You will see 80% permanent hair reduction after three treatments. Hair growth is reduced after each treatment and the number of treatments required will be based on your hair color and type, body area, and skin tone. Typically, 4-6 treatments are recommended for permanent hair removal.

Side Effects of Laser Hair Removal

Common reactions

Skin may be slightly red and/or swollen immediately following the procedure, which typically lasts from a few minutes to several hours.

Rare side effects

Burning, blistering, scabbing, crusting, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, purpura and/or herpes simplex activation, in rare cases, scarring may result
Hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation may not appear for 1-2 weeks and in rare cases may last for months or longer
If hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation occurs treatment should not be performed until pigmentation returns to normal
Increased hair growth in some individuals on the face and neck especially those with hormonal imbalance

How to Prep for
Laser Hair Removal Appointment

Area to be treated must be shaved 24 hours prior to your appointment. The closer the shave the better. If it is your first time, leave a small patch of hair so that your specialist can exam it.
No makeup/lotion/deodorant on the day of your appointment (on treatment area).
Stay out of direct sunlight for at least 3 days prior to your appointment
Do not use self-tanner or spray tan products for at least 2 weeks before your treatment to avoid potential injury.
Avoid drinking more than 2 alcoholic beverages 24 hours before your treatment .
Avoid waxing/threading/tweezing in the area for at least 4-6weeks.
Laser services cannot be performed on ladies who are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive. Bikini laser services will not be performed on menstruating clients.

Laser Hair Removal Aftercare

Cool compresses or cold gel packs or chilled aloe Vera gel may be applied after treatment
Resume use of usual topical agents when irritation resolves
Immediately after treatment, there may be redness and swelling of each hair follicle in the treatment site, which may last up to 2 hours, or longer.
The redness may last up to 2-3 days. The treated area will feel like a sunburn for a few hours after treatment.
Makeup may be used immediately after the treatment as long as the skin is not irritated.
Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation (darker pigmentation).
Use a sunblock (SPF 30+) at all times throughout the course of treatment.
Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin.
Do not use any other hair removal treatment products or similar treatments (waxing, electrolysis or tweezing) that will disturb the hair follicle in the treatment area for 6 weeks after the laser treatment is performed.
Shaving only should be done between treatments.
Several days to weeks after the treatment, shedding of the treated hair may occur and this appears as new hair growth. This is NOT new hair growth. You can clean and remove the hair by washing or wiping the area with a wet cloth or Loofah sponge.
After the underarm is treated, you may wish to use a powder instead of a deodorant for 24 hours after the treatment to reduce skin irritation.
There are no restrictions on bathing except to treat the skin gently, as if you had sunburn, for the first 24 hours.

What to Expect During Laser Hair Removal Treatment

Laser energy is delivered through a small handpiece operated by your practitioner. The laser delivers an intense beam of light, which is absorbed by the skin and converted to heat. The heat is then absorbed by the cells being targeted, while the surrounding tissue remains unaffected
Can feel like elastic band snapped against the skin during treatment
A topical anesthetic can be used before treatment if desired
After the treatment, a cool compress may be applied
Duration of each session varies from person to person but on average can last about 20 mins depending on the area to treat
Because hair grows in stages, multiple treatments are required to see permanent results. We recommend at least 6-8 sessions spaced 6-8 weeks apart.
